Process

Three steps, one sitting

No account, phone call, or technician visit is required to get an independent review of the written quote and supporting documents.

01

Run the two-minute scan

Enter five essentials and, if you have it handy, upload the estimate and a model-number photo. You can still type everything manually.

02

See preliminary indicators

The immediate result uses the five typed fields to flag obvious gaps and show general price position when matching data is available. Uploaded documents are not read at this stage.

03

Request the human-reviewed audit

If you want the paid service, add two short details and request screening. Eligible cases receive a written PDF limited to what the documents and reliable sources can support.

What we check

Five questions the paid audit keeps separate

The Full Quote Audit evaluates each area only when the submitted documents and dependable sources support a conclusion. Missing evidence is reported as missing—not guessed.

01

Part compatibility

Is this part actually listed for your exact model and revision?

02

Diagnostic plausibility

Do your symptoms reasonably point to the part they want to replace?

03

Evidence completeness

Did they document the tests that should back up this diagnosis?

04

Price reasonableness

Where does the total land against typical parts and labor for this repair?

05

Repair value

Given the appliance's age and this cost, does repairing still make financial sense?

Free Quote Risk Scan

Check the quote before you approve it

Start with five short fields. Takes about two minutes. We ask for deeper evidence only after your initial risk result or when you request the paid audit.

Step 1 — Quote Risk ScanTakes about two minutes
Example appliance model-number label showing where to find the model numberUse the full model number from the appliance label—not the shortened number printed on a manual or receipt.

Upload instead of retyping the paperwork

Optional for the free scan. PDF or clear image files are accepted. Keep the two files under 7 MB combined. Uploads are stored for human eligibility and document review; the immediate scan does not open or read them.

Free: Your initial Quote Risk Scan appears immediately. This is quote evaluation—not appliance diagnosis or repair advice.

A defined quote evaluation—not a diagnosis

Audit My Repair evaluates the repair quote and documents you submit. It does not inspect, diagnose, test, or repair the appliance and does not provide repair instructions. Safety concerns and unresolved technical questions are directed back to an appropriately qualified onsite professional.

Your Full Quote Audit includes

  • A case summary tied to the submitted appliance, model, quote, and stated repair.
  • A completeness review showing important information the quote includes or omits.
  • Compatibility research when an identifiable part number and full model number are available.
  • A document-based assessment of whether the stated repair is supported by the described evidence.
  • A price-position and repair-value discussion when dependable comparison data is available.
  • Specific uncertainties, risk flags, and written questions to take back to the repair company.
  • A personalized PDF delivered within 24 hours after payment and complete-document receipt.
If we cannot provide a materially useful audit, we will refund the audit fee.

Why I built Audit My Repair

Rachael Young · Founder and reviewer

After years managing the office side of appliance service—reviewing repair estimates, researching parts, checking technician documentation, explaining warranties and pricing, and helping customers decide what to approve—I built Audit My Repair to give homeowners a clearer, independent review of the paperwork. I do not present myself as an onsite technician; paid audits are document-based and state plainly what can and cannot be verified.

Good to know

What this is — and isn't

Audit My Repair is an independent, informational review of the estimate you already received. We don't inspect your appliance in person, we don't sell repair services, and we don't refer you to technicians. On anything involving gas lines, sealed refrigerant systems, or high-voltage components, our answer will always point you back to a licensed professional rather than a DIY step. Where we can't verify something from what you submitted, we say so directly instead of guessing.

How fast is the report?

The free Quote Risk Scan appears immediately. An invited Full Quote Audit PDF is delivered within 24 hours after both successful payment and receipt of complete required documents.

What if my model isn't covered yet?

We currently cover refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ranges/ovens. If we can't verify your specific model, we'll tell you before you pay for the full report.

Do you replace an in-person diagnosis?

No. We evaluate whether the paperwork you were given holds up — not a substitute for onsite testing when it's genuinely needed.

Is my information kept private?

Your submission is used only to prepare your report.
