Who is responsible for your information

Information we collect

Information you submit

When you use the quote-audit form or contact us, we may collect:

• Your email address and the date and time of submission.
• Appliance type, brand, model number, age, and ZIP code.
• Symptoms, error codes, technician diagnosis, quoted part number, tests performed, repair authorization status, and prior repair details you choose to provide.
• Quoted prices, fees, part condition, estimate date, warranty terms, and the quoted provider's not-fixed policy.
• Your waitlist request, support messages, corrections, refund requests, and other correspondence.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, complete payment-card numbers, medical information, account passwords, or personal information unrelated to the appliance repair review.

Payment information

If you elect to purchase a Full Audit after eligibility screening, payment may be requested through a Stripe invoice. Stripe processes the payment information under its own privacy terms. Audit My Repair does not receive or store your complete card number.

Website and analytics information

We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate website use. Plausible reports page URLs, referral sources, browser, operating system, device type, and approximate geographic area. It does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, and it does not store raw IP addresses or full user-agent strings. We configured our events to record only general actions, such as starting or submitting a check, and not names, email addresses, model or serial numbers, ZIP codes, symptoms, quote text, or other form values.

How we use information

• Provide the preliminary check and prepare, deliver, correct, or support an ordered Full Audit.
• Screen a submission for eligibility before requesting payment.
• Respond to questions, waitlist requests, privacy requests, refunds, and disputes.
• Maintain service, quality-control, security, fraud-prevention, tax, and business records.
• Measure aggregate website performance and improve content and workflows.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

We do not use quote-audit submissions to send unrelated marketing without permission.

Service providers and third parties

We disclose information only as needed for the services described above, at your direction, or when required by law. Current providers include:

• Netlify, which hosts and delivers the website and may process ordinary network and security logs.
• Formspree, which receives audit-form and waitlist submissions and sends them to us by email. Formspree may process submitted content, IP address, browser, access time, and referral information to operate and secure its service.
• Plausible Analytics, which provides cookieless, aggregate website analytics as described above.
• Zoho Mail, which hosts support@auditmyrepair.com and processes customer emails and delivered form notifications.
• Stripe, when used to send an invoice and process payment for an eligible Full Audit.
• Google Fonts, which supplies the website's typefaces and may receive ordinary connection information when the font files load.

These providers may process information in the United States or other countries under their own terms and safeguards. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or a successor in a merger or business transfer when reasonably necessary and permitted by law.

Affiliate links and tracking

Audit My Repair does not currently publish active affiliate links. Manufacturer and retailer resource links presently on the site are not commission-generating links unless they are clearly labeled otherwise.

If affiliate links are activated after advertiser approval, they will appear only on public website pages by default, use tracking URLs supplied by the affiliate network or advertiser, and carry a clear page-level disclosure. When a visitor uses an affiliate link, the network or advertiser may receive referral information and use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy. Affiliate links will not be included in emailed audit results or PDF reports without express written authorization.

Before activating affiliate tracking, we will review whether applicable law requires an additional consent or opt-out control and update this policy and the website accordingly. See the Affiliate Disclosure for our current status and safeguards.

Sale, sharing and advertising

Audit My Repair does not sell personal information for money. As currently configured, we do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not operate active affiliate tracking. We will update this policy and provide any legally required choices before materially changing those practices.

Retention

We generally retain audit submissions, reports, and customer correspondence for up to 24 months after the last interaction so we can provide the service, address corrections or disputes, monitor quality, and maintain a limited business record. We may retain payment, tax, fraud-prevention, legal, or transaction records longer when required or reasonably necessary. Aggregate Plausible statistics do not identify individual visitors. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, subject to provider backups and legal exceptions.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; or to appeal the denial of a request. You may also ask whether we have sold or shared personal information and opt out where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

• You may omit optional form fields, but appliance type, model number, and email are required for the current review workflow.
• You may request removal from the expert-review waitlist at any time.
• You may control or clear browser data used by third-party websites after following an external link.
• You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@auditmyrepair.com. We may verify your identity before completing a request.

Security and children

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the size and nature of the service. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

The service is intended for adults seeking help with an appliance repair quote. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion.

Third-party websites and policy changes

This policy applies to Audit My Repair, not to a manufacturer, retailer, payment provider, affiliate network, or other external website you choose to visit. Review the third party's privacy terms before providing information or making a purchase.

We may update this policy when our practices, providers, or legal obligations change. The date at the top will show the latest revision. We will provide additional notice when required by law or when a change materially affects how submitted personal information is used.
